The positive facade I always put on externally often deceives most people. Laughing all the time, annoying all my friends and pulling pranks, smiling alone to myself.
"Such a cheerful girl, constantly happy."
All these ploys to conceal my nothingness within somehow urges me to soldier on and survive. I laugh at the littlest of things to prevent myself from leaping back to that level of sadness I always experience. I annoy my friends to distract myself from the pain in my chest that I always get when the waterworks are about to come on. I constantly smile alone to myself to encourage myself that everything is okay though in fact it isn't. What can I do other than mourn about all my downsides of life? Put up a strong face front and move forward.
