I have plenty of time in my hands right now. My current addiction? Mob Wives.
You probably ask why I am spending my time on trashy reality shows, but in a way, this show teaches me about loyalty, self-worth, independence and betrayal. Being in a girl posse myself, I understand the situations that were portrayed in the series, and I completely understand the cattiness and chaos of being part of a posse. Things can turn pretty ugly. Though the ladies weren't cast in a positive light, I respect them for the ability to stand up and defend themselves in whatever situations they face. In addition, all of them are independent mothers fending for their own kids while their husbands serve their sentences in prison.
People are quick to judge them immediately, but these ladies don't have it good. The cattiness, bitterness of their lives happened for a reason. Brought up in a mob environment, violence is an issue that they are all immune to. Unlike us, they probably consider violence as one of their options to resolve a problem. They think that it is okay to use violence. Putting my own two-cents in this issue, I think that they are strong independent women that deserve more than what they have now.
