    Mac & Cheese

For you guys who know me personally, you would know that I rarely step foot into the kitchen in my life. There are those rare occasions when I feel like baking or whip up a quick main course for my family. And today is one of those days!

Since Ramadhan is kicking in now, I have plenty of time during the day (well, on my off days) to whip up something without having to rush for anything since we Muslims can only break our fast at 7PM.

    Main ingredients :

    • Minced Meat
    • Olive Oil
    • Butter
    • Flour
    • Milk
    • Parmesan Cheese
    • Mozarella Cheese
    • Cheddar Cheese
    • Pasta (Any kind of pasta will do, up to your own preference)
    • Salt
    • Pepper
It is important you preheat your oven at 400degrees Celsius before you proceed to the following steps.

If you prefer your meat to be finer, chop them up into smaller pieces. Fry the minced meat with olive oil and once it is done, set them aside. Boil the pasta too while you are at this step.

Melt the butter and once it is almost done melting, add the flour in. While stirring, slowly add in 2 cups of milk. The mixture of the butter, flour and milk should be like this afterwards :

The sauce should have a creamy texture after everything is mixed in. Add salt and pepper.

Turn the heat off and afterwards add all the cheese in. The cheese will instantly melt when you stir them together with the sauce.

This is the result that you should get after adding in all the cheeses.

Add in the pasta and fold them evenly in with the sauce.

Add in the minced meat that you have fried earlier and fold them in together with the pasta and sauce.

Place the entire mixture into a casserole dish.

Before you get the casserole dish with your Mac & Cheese into the oven, sprinkle some cheese on the top. Put it in the oven for 20 - 25 minutes.

    And now it's done!!

Now all I have to do is to wait for 7PM to come around so that I can attack this dish.
